Here are some facts about me:
- I grew up on a farm in New Jersey. I had, and still have, an awesome
family. - I went to Rutgers University for my undergrad BA in Economics, Minor
in Mathematics. I graduated in 1989. I immediately started working at
Prudential, providing credit/financial related analysis. Bored to tears, I
quit in 1991 to attend law school full time and to incur tons of more
school debt. - I went to Seton Hall Law School and graduated in 1994. I'm still paying
those loans, another 24 years to go. Can you believe? (Don't get me
started on the poor educational efforts made by the US to keep us in
the top educated in the world - clearly, we've fallen behind. - I took the NJ and NY bars, and practiced immediately in NJ.
- I worked for 2 firms in the years following law school, which provided
hands on litigation experience rather early on - which gave me the
background and experience to be able to hang my own shingle, which I
did in about 2001, while moonlighting to pay the bills early on. - At first, I continued to practice general NJ law, including family law,
personal injury, motor vehicle law, criminal law, DUI law, consumer
protection and small business disputes/contract law and disability law. - I met my husband in 2002 and got happily married in 2003.
- In 2005, I redirected my focus away from NJ law towards Federal United
State Social Security Disability Law. I have found true professional and
personal satisfaction, finally, from my work. I still get to keep my legal
knowledge up in various other fields, as most of my SS clients have the
normal legal dilemmas others have. - In 2006, my husband and I were blessed with our first child, Alexia, and
in 2008, our second, Jake. (And likely our last, since I'm getting up in
the years, sady :) - In 2008, I also began enjoying the opportunity to provide legal
consulting services . The proceeds from this time and effort helps
continue my pro bono services for the disabled and the upkeep
of this website, MySsiCase.com. - I feel both honored and privileged to represent the clients that I
represent. I strive to maintain a very near-100% win rate, while being
willing to take on the deserving but non-paying cases, and I will never
be willing to take on more cases than I can vigorously advocate for and
properly develop so that every case I have has the very best chances
of winning. A client of mine is never just a number and will thoroughly
know that she or he is not part of a volume driven disability company,
but a client-driven, win-driven, select legal practice. I will know your
